HISTORY:

Terri Ann Williams, “TC” Howard, is the founder of Character Education Training Classes. She first established her classes for girls in Buffalo, NY., in 1985, out of her parent’s east side neighborhood home.

She then went throughout her neighborhood recruiting young ladies to enroll in her community outreach classes and event programs; to enhance their character, re-fine their talents and social etiquette skills.

Many of the girls who went through Terri Ann’s training classes are today making a difference.  They are now, High School and College Graduates, Professionals, Wives, Mothers and Business Owners.  She has tirelessly been creating programs, sponsoring youth events and crowning girls and boys throughout the City of Buffalo.

She later partnered with a community organization from 1995 to 2003, that afforded her the opportunity to develop girls in schools through her training curriculum. During that time, she was recognized for her outstanding work with students and was awarded Outstanding Educator of the Year, from the NY State Alliance of Black Schools Education. In addition to many outstanding community awards.

Due to the increase of youth violence, teen promiscuity, suicidal ideations, low academic  performance and school drop-outs, she embarked on establishing a company that would empower children and young adults to make better choices and to become successful.

Terri Ann, has been empowering youth for over 20 years.  She has witnessed the lifestyles of the Girls and Boys within her community and became despondent.  She knew that she needed to do more to empower them to succeed.  Her mentorship and leadership companies were later established.  She always enjoys seeing youth and young adults thriving and becoming successful,  which has been reflective in her dedicated service to the Buffalo School District.

For 22 years total, she has served in the capacity of Parent Facilitator, School Counselor, Substitute Teacher, Vendor, Volunteer and several years as a School Counselor with the Charter Schools District.   Over the years, the changing platforms of education, learning and social needs of the community has helped to refine and development her on new levels in preparation for launching her well needed World of Girls and Boys Empowerment Mentorship and Leadership Companies.

Data Explained

The Behavioral Scale “Key’ operated the data in the following ways;

Pre-Test: Our students gave their initial score based on the school administrators recommendation, for them to be a participate of the character education classes.

Post- Test: Our student’s final scores were calculated from the teachers; based upon their behavior in class. Also their detentions, suspensions and academic achievement.

The content behind the data was designed to measure the success, and benefits of character education within PLA (Poor, Low, and Achieving) Schools; as it pertains to our students becoming more respectful, and education driven, for academic success.

Data is composed based on the Academic and Behavioral Scale.
